People of all ages are at risk of getting infected by the novel coronavirus. Especially, older people and people with pre-existing health conditions like cancer, immune system disease, a heart condition, lung condition, severe obesity, diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease, etc. are more vulnerable to COVID-19. Also, it is highly likely for newborns to contract the virus after birth.

Thus, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends people of all ages to take the necessary precautionary measures and follow good respiratory and hand hygiene practices.
