Cross-contamination means the transfer of microorganisms and bacteria from one individual to another with harmful effects. To prevent cross-contamination during the global COVID-19 pandemic, follow preventive protocols such as maintaining physical distance and covering your face with a mask while out in public. Following hand hygiene, such as washing hands regularly with soap and water or using an alcohol-based sanitizer if soap is not available. Furthermore, to reduce the chances of getting contaminated, clean and disinfect all surfaces and objects in everyday use such as tabletops, chairs, remote, keyboards, doorknobs, etc.
